The AKG C 747 features a hypercardioid pickup pattern designed to be forgiving with placement, making it an excellent choice for critical podium, pulpit, or boardroom applications where speakers tend to move around and wander off-axis. It is also well-suited for capturing orchestras and choirs when close miking is simply not practical. The C 747 utilises a tuned interference tube to provide uniform off-axis rejection, effectively controlling ambient noise and acoustic feedback in acoustically challenging environments like houses of worship.
