Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD Video Switcher

The ATEM Television Studio HD is a highly versatile, compact live production switcher designed for seamless broadcast and event integration. It features eight total inputs, consisting of four 3G-SDI and four HDMI connections with automatic re-synchronization across all channels. Supporting a wide range of video formats up to 1080p HD at 60fps, the unit includes an integrated multi-view output for monitoring eight individual sources alongside preview and program screens. Creative capabilities are anchored by a built-in media pool with storage for 20 RGBA still graphics, a DVE engine equipped with 3D borders and drop shadows, and a complete suite of professional transitions including cuts, mixes, dips, and SMPTE wipes. For advanced layering, it offers one upstream keyer with chroma capabilities alongside two downstream keyers. Audio routing is managed via an internal mixer that blends embedded signals from all video feeds with independent balanced XLR stereo analog inputs. Monitoring and control are simplified by a flexible auxiliary output featuring front-panel switching controls and a dedicated LCD display. The chassis houses additional internal sources, including black, color bars, dual color generators, and two media player outputs. Network integration is handled via an Ethernet connection, which includes Mac and Windows control software and offers full compatibility with hardware ATEM Broadcast Panels. Complete with a Black Burst and HD-Tri-Sync genlock input for multi-system synchronization, its ultra-portable, rack-ready form factor can be comfortably operated on a desktop or rack-mounted via an optional Teranex Mini Rack Shelf.
